Astrid's Dragon Scale Armor is a full-body armor worn by Astrid during the events of How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World.

History
Creation
At some point between How to Train Your Dragon 2 and the third movie (a span of about a year), Astrid's armor was constructed. It was created using a plating of Stormfly's shed scales.
How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World
Astrid uses her Dragon Scale Armor during any time there is a high risk of injury. She uses it multiple times when raiding Dragon Trapper ships to free dragons. She also wears it when she and Hiccup venture out to find Toothless and discover the Hidden World, although she does not wear the helmet in this instance.
About ten years after the main events of the film during "Homecoming", Astrid's dragon scale armor is not in evidence, so it is unknown what became of it, or whether she still wears it.
Physical Appearance
Astrid's Dragon Scale Armor appears to be formed of several different pieces tailored to fit her body. There is the helmet, pauldrons, chest plate, torso guards, a skirt-like part over the hips, gloves, and gauntlets, leggings, and boots. There are also two wing structures kept folded into the arm pieces for flight and solo-gliding when needed. The suit is constructed from Stormfly's shed scales, so has a predominantly blue color, with occasional golden-yellow scale highlights. The scales appear to be attached to a leather base, most likely using Toothless' sticky saliva as the gluing agent. The whole suit is further embellished with small metal skulls around the skirt piece, and various spikes mimicking those of Stormfly. The helmet is shaped as that of a Nadder, obscuring Astrid's whole face bar the eye slits. A crown of spines adorns the back of the headpiece, alongside one small spine in place of a Nadder's nasal horn.
Functions
Fireproof Armor
Due to its construction from Stormfly's scales, Astrid's dragon scale armor is effectively impervious to fire. It is unknown if the non-scale portions are also treated in some way to be flame-retardant.
Like a normal Viking suit of armor, it affords some protection from attack. However, dragon skin and scales can be cut and pierced, so the armor is not fully protective from all attacks.
Flightsuit
Using Hiccup's successes with his flightsuit, Astrid has incorporated a flight suit within her armor. This allows her to glide and fly in the air independently of dragon transportation for a time, which she does along with the other Riders whilst attacking the Armada.
