You will need your incoming mail server, outgoing mail server, full email address, and your email password. You can find these settings by logging into your Mail Central.

  1. Open Outlook 2007.
  2. Click Tools.
  3. Click Account Settings.
  4. Click New to create a new email account.
  5. Check Manually configure server settings or additional server types.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Select Internet Email.
  8. Click Next.
  9. Fill in the following information:
    • Your Name: How you want your name to appear in emails (example: John Smith)
    • Email Address: Your full mailbox address (example: john@your-domain.com)
    • Account Type: POP3 (same as POP)
    • Incoming mail server: pop.domain.com
    • Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.domain.com
    • User Name: Your full mailbox address (example: john@your-domain.com)
    • Password: Your mailbox password
    • Remember password: We recommend that you keep this checked.
    • Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA): We recommend that you keep this unchecked.
  10. Click More Settings.
  11. Click Outgoing Server.
  12. Check My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
  13. Click Advanced.
  14. Fill in the following information:
    • Incoming Server (POP3): 110
    • Outgoing Server (SMTP): 587
  15. Click OK.
  16. Click Next to complete the setup of your email client.

Set Up Your Google Workspace Email on Outlook 2007

This article shows you how to set up your Google Workspace with your Outlook 2007. This tutorial focuses on Microsoft Outlook 2007, but these settings are similar to other versions of Microsoft Outlook.

Step 1: Enable less secure apps

  1. Sign in to yourGoogle Workspace Admin console (at admin.google.com)

    Skip this and use my existing mail

  2. From the Admin console Home page, go toSecurity.
  3. Select the setting forless secure apps.
  4. Turn on "Allow users to manage their access to less secure apps."

Step 2: Configuring your account to enable IMAP access

  1. On your computer, open Gmail.
  2. In the top right, click Settings then hitSee all settings.
  3. Click theForwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
  4. In the "IMAP Access" section, selectEnable IMAP.

Step 3: Adding a Google Workspace Account to Outlook

  1. OpenOutlook 2007.
  2. ClickTools.
  3. ClickAccount Settings.
  4. ClickNew to create a new email account.
  5. CheckManually configure server settings or additional server types.
  6. ClickNext.
  7. SelectInternet Email.
  8. ClickNext.
  9. Fill in the following information:

  10. Click onMore Settings.
  11. Click on theOutgoing Server tab.
  12. TickMy outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
  13. Click on theAdvanced tab.
  14. SelectSSL on the drop-down menu next toUse the following type of encrypted connection under IMAP.
  15. SelectTLS on the drop-down menu next toUse the following type of encrypted connection under SMTP.
  16. In "Incoming server (IMAP)," enter993.
  17. In "Outgoing server (SMTP)," enter587 or465.
  18. ClickOK.
  19. ClickNext/
  20. If the Test Email ran successfully, clickClose.
